Yeah, I know, crushes, plural. Forgive my lonely and weak heart could not resist itself before the prettiness of these following men I have encountered on my cinematic journey of discovery.
Timothée Chalamet:
Well, this is kinda a cheat since I fell in love with him in 2018 and made him my life motivation. However, Tim has been my muse, inspiring, and goal on my journey of becoming a filmmaker (which has not progressed much, thank you very much).
Why do I like him?: Besides his genderless beauty, I mean, have you seen him, it's his talent and his passion for films, the ambition to become a better actor, to devote selflessly to this industry, and his attitude towards his art, his co-stars and his life. Yeah, that's pretty much it
2. Alex Ayling:
Well, Alex is a travel YouTuber who I unintentionally found while attempting to travel indoors. Alex and his older brother, Marko have this amazing travel channel named @Vagabrothers, check it out! (This is not an advertorial).
Why do I like him?: I don't really know, maybe because of his hair, or his attractive smile, his personality, or maybe it's his handiness on the road and his sexiness on a motorcycle. I'm really not sure. However, he is engaged and his fiance is really pretty, so hands off :)))
3. Jacob Elordi:
I find Jacob very attractive since he first appeared in The Kissing Booth in 2018 but it didn't last long. Then ironically, that crush came back to me once more time when I decided to watch its sequel on a very boring Saturday. Then I watched Euphoria (well, technically not because of him, I have planned on watching it for so long...yeah no excuse). I fell pretty hard for him, or should I say, Nate Jacobs, his character in Euphoria?
Why do I like him?: Who exactly? Nate or Jacob? Maybe I like Nate more since he isn't a typically nice and lovely boyfriend but a troubled one (the attraction of toxic boyfriend) and maybe because of my soft spot for antagonists. I like his smirky smile, arrogance, and his sick mind.
4. Shemar Moore:
This guy is 50, can you believe that? I "met" him in Criminal Minds and yes, as quickly as I thought, fell for the Chocolate Thunder of the show. I even wrote my own embarrassing yet satisfying fan fiction of Derek (Shemar's character) which I will never show that to anyone :))
Why do I like him?: Another problem of separating my crush on the actor and his character. I really don't know whom did I like more? Shemar or Derek? But then I realize, I "spent" more time with Derek on the screen than with Shemar in real life, thus I think I like Derek. Since I know more about his childhood trauma, every event that happened in his life, every emotion he went through, maybe I feel relatable and more sympathized with Derek, easily to fall for.
5. Ian Somerhalder:
I found Ian extremely attractive when I was a kid and I still do. Why the hell not? Look at those sparkling blue eyes, that smirky smile, and that villainy attitude, oh my heart. Now, finally, have I watched The Vampire Diaries, I fell for him even more, exactly at the moment of "Hello Brother" in the very first episode.
Why do I like him?: In this case, I'm very confident to say that I like both Ian and his TVD character, Damon. They are nothing alike but I find both men extremely charming and sexy in their very own ways. To see why I like Damon, please visit my other post in which I dedicate to TVD. And why I like Ian, he is smart, funny, charming and sexy, his love for his wife and child is admirable and he is such a great actor. Kinda lame for that final reason to conclude but I fell for Timmy because of his acting skills before his beauty, thus, it's really a major factor for me.
6. Frank Grillo:
The age range for my celebrity crush has just escalated dramatically. Yeah, I might get bored of guys my age, therefore, I'm coming for older guys, I mean why not? I found Frank so attractive and hot while watching Kingdom on Netflix, check this series out, what a gem!!
Why do I like him?: Yeah maybe because of the charm older guys possess. I really don't know. I just found him way more attractive than two younger actors who played his sons in the series, Nick Jonas and Jonathan Tucker (he is the best actor I have ever had the honor of witnessing). Let's keep Frank's reasons as a mystery then! Haha
There you have it, 6 beautiful and talented gentlemen I let my heart weaken before them in this depressing year of 2020. A relive-my-youth kind of phase and also an enjoy-myself-and-my-passion-before-the-adulthood-rush-in phase. Because why the hell not?
P/s: They are the reasons why my standards in men are so ridiculously unrealistic and unhealthy but I'm very much unremorseful for that.
